CATENATION
A live set of modular and hardware electronics, blending IDM, industrial, experimental, and contemporary classical practices. The performance is intense and sculptural, pushing synths to the edge, creating a shifting, evolving sonic sculpture that challenges commodified listening.

GUSTAVO OBLIGADO
Gustavo Obligado (Buenos Aires, 1990) is a Berlin-based musician, improviser, and composer. His practice combines acoustic wind instruments, such as saxophones and clarinets, with electronic devices including samplers and sequencers, exploring improvisation, experimental music, and sound activation. He has performed internationally across Europe, North and South America, and Asia, and organizes concerts and experimental music initiatives in Berlin through the label La Mona de Oro and the Sonic Exploration Festival. He also leads workshops in improvisation and sound activation, fostering inclusive and collaborative musical experiences.
about solo set: In my solo set, I use saxophone along with a real-time sampler/sequencer, incorporating both live recordings and instrument samples, as well as home-made effect pedals, extended techniques, and preparations. This setup allows me to expand the saxophone’s sonic possibilities and create atmospheric compositions where the instrument intertwines with electronic textures. These sonic landscapes, titled phenomenas, are ephemeral manifestations that aim to capture the complexity and movement of the wind.
MAGDALENA FORSTER
In Echo Body, Magdalena Forster reanimates salvaged organ pipes through hydroacoustics, wind, and vocal techniques, reintroducing the instruments into a realm of sonic and corporeal experimentation, as individual bodies, screeching, wailing voices and resonating chambers. Attuning to active listening and responding to the space, a delicate slipperiness between breath, sound, and gesture becomes tangible. Magdalena Forster is an artist based in Vienna. With a background in choreography and performaning arts, her work often follows material-based processes and is shaped by the logic of tactile interaction, manual practice, and her earlier profession in body-centered care work. Forster is interested in collaboration, the dynamics of live and score-based performances, in what emerges in the moment and remains as sensation, image, or fleeting trace. Her often site specific work is closely tied to sonic exploration, creating intimate and sensory environments. Echo Body was selected for Impulstanz 8tension Series 2026, other recent works such as Hearth (2025) and Bile (2023) were co-produced with Tanzquartier Wien and supported by the City of Vienna’s Cultural Department as well as the Austrian Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, Civil Service and Sport. Her works have been presented at Tanzquartier Vienna, Systema Marseille, Kunstraum Niederösterreich, Kunsthaus Zürich, AIL Vienna, Neuer Wiener Kunstverein, Festival der Regionen, Perspektiven Festival Attersee, BRUX Theater Innsbruck, Lothringer 13 Munich, and the Sonic Territories Festival.
